I just got my prius and i notice there's a vent under the rear seat for the battery,
I have a big german shepherd and his fur is everywhere in the back. I'm a little worry eventually his fur with clog the fan, I'm wondering if the prius has a battery vent filter or is there anyway to install one.

    thx

There is no filter and you do need to periodically clean out the vent/fan since you have a pet.

I have some vacuum cleaner motor filter material. Soon after purchase I started reading about this problem, so cut and fitted a peice in behind the filter inlet. Periodically I check it's condition with a strong light. It's picked up a small amount of lint and a seed or two. I would think it reduces air flow slightly, but seems ok.
