Did I miss what the issue is you are having that sent you looking for diagnostic info and ultimately a new head unit?
I wonder what they mean by a "RAM lockup" I work with computers, and I am not familiar with that term. I know about disk hangs when there are physical problems with the hard drive (which could possibly be relevant for the HDD unit), but I have never heard of memory hangs.
If it's trying to address RAM that's defective or otherwise bad, it could certainly cause a crash or a hang.
Makes sense. In my experience, bad memory tends to lead to outright crashes. But my work is with servers and the like, not embedded systems like these head units, so maybe they respond differently than the "big" systems to memory errors. Sometimes when I start the car, it takes a couple of minutes for the map to pop up. I can get to all of the non-NAV screens just fine and without delays, just not the map. I wonder if something is flakey with MY HDD
My Prius v 5 with atp went in because the nav system quit working after 3 months. I can see the map but the gps part of the nav is completely down. Zero signals from the satellites. Service also told me they have to order a new head unit. Been 3 weeks, still waiting.
Is any posibility anybody know how to open hidden menu properly and the camera settings On prius V trim 5
