After doing some research and seeing some of the new standard features on the 2012's I think we may wait depending on when they are coming out. Does anyone know if they will be hitting dealers the end of this year of next year?
Potentially by the end of the year, but I wouldn't count on it. A large shipment of 2011 Prius models hit the shores just recently and Toyota will want to make a dent in that inventory before they put the 2012s on the lot. They could wait until after the Detroit Auto Show (January).
I'll wager the 2012 3rd Gen's arrive in small numbers in December. They will deal a lot of 2011's in December and sales will cool first of January, but if they have 12's they can keep things going. They've been ad'ing 2011 model year closeouts in papers for a few weeks.
