Hello everyone I joined today in hopes of finding some help with this issue, my 2012 Prius with 149,997 miles was running just fine when out of nowhere while breaking I got the message "Check Hybrid System Stop the vehicle at a Safe Place" the check engine and a yellow triangle with exclamation point lights and the abs light came on, The "Ready" light was still on and I was able to drive home and plug in my scanner and I got the following codes: P0A94, P0C3F, P0A7A, C1259, C1310, B2784, when this first happened I was still able to turn the car on, the engine was running constantly unlike before that It only cycled when charging or full power needed, but then the next day I couldn’t turn the car on at all, all the lights and radio will turn on but I don’t get the “ready” light anymore, the engine doesn’t turn on, pretty much I can’t move the car anymore, the check the hybrid system messages is still on and also I got more codes than before P0A94, P0A09, POA0D, P0C3F, P0A7A, C1259, C1310, U0110, B2784, after doing some research and trying other things such as cleaning the fan of the hybrid battery, getting a new 12v battery, and just looking for any other less expensive solution I bought and changed the Inverter, well that didn’t work, I plugged my scanner for a third time and now I just have the following codes: P0A7A, P0A94, U0110, C1259, C1310, B2784, is there anything else I could try? Do you guys have any recommendations?, anything will be appreciated and helpful, and I apologize I know this is a long text.

I have been using the Injectronic CJ-327BT
I bought it from autozone as soon as I started to have this issues, it works with Dr Prius, but do you have any recommendations?

    This doesn't read subcodes.

That’s an important issue. I’d like @mr_guy_mann to give us his thoughts

I think you need to look at the freeze frame data for the trouble code to get the INF code. FYI, I do not own or use the Autel AP200.

    Edit, read this thread: https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3248209

Since you don't own one you have no argument.

I bought one a week ago just because someone on PC mentioned subcodes. They are not in any part of the application that I've found so far. Also not in the freeze frame data.

I am not arguing with you. I am just reporting that mr_guy_mann tested the Autel AP200 and he said that it can read the INF code. See the two links that I provided in my earlier posts.

Look at the PDF that you attached. See "Detail code 5", the 123 is the INF for whatever trouble code that freeze frame is for.

Oh well I hope it does read sub codes because I already ordered it from Amazon, and today I used my scanner with the Dr Prius app again after recharging the new battery and I only got 3 codes
    POA7A,P0A94, U0110
And still car would only go into accessory mode

Those are enough. The C1259 and C1310 are because of those.

If this happened in the US, Toyota would be repairing or replacing the car's inverter assembly for free, under one of these customer support programs:

    23TE02 23TE03

If the trouble codes include P0A94, P0A1A, P324E, or P3004, the coverage falls under 23TE03; if they include P0A7A or P0A78, or the cause was a "thermal event", or the cause is unclear and can't be shown not to have been a "thermal event", the coverage falls under 23TE02. The unlimited mileage and 20-year window are the same for both coverages, and the repairs are the same, so the two different coverages only help keep statistics on which kind of thing went wrong.

In this case, both P0A7A and P0A94 are present, so the repair could be done under either program. The coverage is the same and the fix is the same, so the choice of program only matters to their statistics.

But again, that's the US coverage. I do not know what coverage, if any, may apply in Mexico.

Yeah I already talked to the only dealer here in my city and unfortunately they told me that my VIN number won’t qualify for that warranty

That might be worth independently checking.

In the US, neither the two documents that I linked above, nor the TSBs that they refer to for repair instructions (T-SB-0011-23 and T-SB-0003-21 Rev1, respectively), instruct the dealer to check any list or range of VINs before confirming coverage (unless I've somehow skimmed right over it while looking for it on purpose).

There have been reports of US dealers saying "sorry, that VIN is not covered" who 'discover' that it is covered, upon being shown the documents.

However, that's the US. I do not know the situation for Mexico.
