2012 Prius C DISP/TRIP Buttons out

Hello, I'm new to the Toyota world and have a 12 Prius C type 2.

i have an issue with my Steering Wheel. I changed out my old crumbling Foam Steering Wheel for a super nice Leather Wheel from a 13 Pruis V. It also came with both L/R buttons, so I installed it and was all excited as it looked super cool, but by doing so I lost the RH side DISP/TRIP buttons. The Temp buttons work fine as does the LH buttons for the Speaker Controls. Not sure why the DISP button is not working? My old wheel all buttons worked just fine...

1. Button broken?
2. Not interfacing with the dash?
3. Does it matter my radio is the standard and this Leather Wheel probably went with the upgraded radio with Nav?

Went by Toyota and they recommend replacing the RH button switch assy #84244-47110-B0 cost $888.32(yikes!!!). Did find it online new for $500-$600, I really don't want to pay that. So it looks like I'm off to the junkyard, what does anyone recommend? I'm baffled, and I also have no Odometer, Clock, or to be able to run the MPG, etc...
