I picked up my 2012 Prius yesterday afternoon. It was ready when I got there -- they needed a day to prep it after it came off the truck. Very positive experience all in all. My salesperson kept me informed of the progress from the time it was ordered in late December until it arrived. Thanks to David "Simple" Simon at Emporia Motors here in Kansas. This is a front view (obviously), so those of you who haven't seen the new front fascia can do so. The top part of the black part is actually solid, though the picture doesn't show that well. The next few are various side and back views: These are interior shots. The interior is light gray (LB10), and it looks lighter in these pictures than it looks in person. The 3rd picture is the most accurate as far a color is concerned.
Yes, and the Plug-in Prius has different ones than the standard Prius liftback for 2012. They got rid of the red and made em' clear... Plug-in Prius: Prius liftback:
Looks like they're still using the greenish Misty Gray mats for the 2012, or the dealer threw in the Misty Gray mats from existing 2010/2011 stock.
Beautiful car! The light gray interior is very nice, kinda like the dark grey I have now but I love how the dark grey has a black dash for 2012. In person it is beautiful, though I can see those in California, Vegas etc not wanting a black dash!
I agree, on the BP the red ones do look nice. They had a sea glass with the red ones in SF and while not bad looking it looked 'different'. But I still like the new ones, red or clear, better than the bland looking ones for 2010/11.
Or you could "smoke" 'em all by getting the Valenti lights you've always wanted, now that the 2012 didn't go all LED
I'm always torn about doing stuff like that but the more money I spend on modding my car is less money I can put into buying my next new one 3-4 years down the road... About all I'll do is tint the windows 50% on my PiP and put the LED interior lights back in I removed from my 2010. Oh, and also put the chrome coated front and rear turn signal bulbs in. They really make a difference look-wise IMO.
I didn't order the "deluxe solar roof package" so it doesn't have the HUD. It has "touch tracer display" with overlays on the speedometer that my husband thinks is really cool.
Oops! Somehow I thought I saw an SR on your roof. My mistake! Yeah the Touch Tracer is nice! It helps with gloves on (so you can tell which button your finger is over).
