2010 17in Wheels Revealed in '06?

    The 17" wheels on the new 2010 GenIII Prius look identical to the wheels on the energy monitor in the '06+ GenII Prius. I wonder if that was a hint of future desings?

    Nice catch, but completely coincidence. 2010 MY wheel design did not even start until well after the '06 screen was finalized, and I guarantee the designers did not reference it.

    5 fat spoke design. A timeless most common and poplur wheel design.

    Thanks for the response Doug! I just noticed it this morning, I got to work early and just sat in my '06 listening to music and I happened to catch a glimpse of the wheels on the screen and took a closer look and... boy do they look like the GenIII 17" wheels. Too close to be a coincidence I thought, but worth asking.
