    Hi all,

My rear defroster does not work and I am troubleshooting. The fuse is confirmed good.

I have combed the forum, the wiring diagram and have viewed every additional fuse/relay location document I can find but cannot determine the exact location of the relay shown in the wiring diagrams. The closest I can get is "Driver side J/B Inner Circuit" bot not with a picture or clue as to what it looks like.

Does anyone know where the read defrost relay is specifically located? Thanks in advance for your help.

Okay, disregard. I found some info on startmycar that indicated it is on the end of the driver side under dash fuse block on the end with the power window relay. Will confirm once I have it in my hand..

Yes it's inside of the car up where all those relays are which just happens to be next to or very close to the in-car fuse box that's above your left knee I think.

I have this problem with my 2007... It slowly stopped working... For a while the element at the top and bottom of the rear window worked, but now nothing. It will also shut itself off on its own if I leave it on. Does anyone know what the most common failure point is for this circuit with these types of symptoms?

Based on your description, I would look closely at the grid itself on the inside of the glass. I had almost no function when I got my 06. Ended up "repairing" 14 or 15 different spots with conductive paint from a repair kit.

You can turn on the rear defog and check for 14V across the two tabs where the wires connect to the glass itself. If power and ground are present- it's the grid. If not, look at the wires at the tailgate pivot area.

A thermal imager makes that kind of inspection child's play.
