2005, use black key instead of chrome

    I have a chrome key, I bought a black logo key gib and followed the instructions to program it. I now locks and unlocks the doors but when inserted, it will not allow the car to start, nothing happens. Ideas? Thanks!

    The black logo key may not have the transponder chip that works the SKS system and in turn may have a problem I don't know

    You might need a "fully capable" scantool to talk to the immobilizer ecu and see how many keys are registered.

    Does your car have SKS? (ie, does it have small black button on each exterior front door handle and on tailgate panel).

    Yes I have SKS. I programmed the black logo and it now locks and unlocks the vehicle but will not start the car when inserted. I tried turning on and off the SKS button and also tried leaving the SKS key inside the house. No dice
