2005 prius startup questions

so i finally got my 05 salvage running, i found out the ABS VSC and that amber exclamation point thing encased in circle was dirty speed sensors, i needed to move the car about a little in order to get rid of that. The next thing is my check engine light is still on and im trying to fix it well, by looking at everything on my car , cant find anything. Anyway, my question is about the startup procedure of a 05 Prius, i am currently so experienced with my 01 and how long it takes before the engine shuts off.

Here are my questions

- my 01 prius has the blue coolant light ( indicates cool engine and stuff ) does the 04-06 prius 's have this feature, and if so does it always come on after a night in 55 degree weather?
- the 05 prius takes about 8-10 minutes to shut off, so far i have not seen the blue coolant light thing since i have got it running, does 8-10 minutes seem right for shut off time? ( in 60 to 70 degree weather )
- how long is it before the gasoline engine on the 05 prius starts up, is there always a delay between ready mode and engine startup?
- when you rev the gasoline engine in park, does it sometimes rev up and down by itself ( maybe +- 100 RPMs )?
- and yet again, i short pin 27 on HV ECU to ground in order to engage EV mode correct?

im a constant botherer with so many questions.. im so experienced with the 01 prius that i was expecting the new one to be, well, a lot similar.
