Hi guys. I brought my prius home last night, but I can't figure out how to display the charging engine display thing come on like in the test model. There are four buttons on the display. If I press display, the screen stays off. If I press the other three, the appropriate screen comes on, but the screen shuts off after a few seconds, it never goes to the charging screen. Is there a way to fix this, or does it require a trip to toyota? thanks, maria

sounds like you have it set to turn off. check your owner's manual, it will give you instructions on how to set the screen to be on as you drive.

For the "charging" screen, I am assuming you are referring to the Energy screen. Once the screen is set to stay on, and you're at the Consumption screen, (the one with the 5 minute intervals and your average MPG) press the button on the screen that says Energy, it's a touchscreen button.

I would take some time to get to know your car better. Read the manual and you will be much more comfortable! It's not so much a problem as something you do not yet understand. Good luck :)

Since you only have 4 buttons, you don't have NAV.
Looks like you turned the display off. Going into energy screen should permenantly turn it back on.
In the Info screen, you can select TRIP, as Dave said. Check your Screen Settings configuration, also available through Info.

Too bad you don't have an Info button on the steering wheel, it takes you right to the energy/consumption screens. It only came with NAV package.
