    Hello,

During the weekend I put some AC refrigerant in my Prius and I now its completely broken. At first it blew hot air and now the blower is not working at all. I am not sure where to go from here. Any advice would be great.

We might be able to help, but it's likely to have to start with a more detailed timeline of what you did exactly, and when, and why.

The AC system on Prius is a variable pressure system, so adding refrigerant with the pressure dial on the bottle as your only measurement is what likely created so problems. But maybe not, maybe it's not come to that yet and it's something easier to fix? Does the blower still work for the heater? Have you replaced / inspected the condition of your cabin air filter?

You might have just over pressure it. When that happens the gas can’t expand and cool like its supposed to. You can bring it to a shop and have them drain and refill or you can buy the tools.

You can also use a screw driver on the Schrader valve and release some gas down see if it works again. Or release all and start fresh

Jesus don't just dump that into the atmosphere.

You have a leak. You just made the cost of the repair much higher.

Take it a well known car ac shop. They will charge it up with dye and find the leak. Leak in Evap coil under the dash is very very common on this car plus whatever you destroyed with your can of kill juice.

Recently had my evap coil replaced was $1100.

Great price if that included labor, since they have to take the entire dash apart to do it.

OMG i saw it there was nothing attached to the bulkhead engine firewall. Everything came out. Big job yes i was surprised that's all they charged. I gave them 5 days to do it. Would have given them more if they asked. So freakin hot down here.

Typical design. Friday had a Honda Pilot dashboard out. Today it's a Jeep Liberty.
