Hello, New to forum, I drove a 2009 Prius as an city inspector in 2014 and was stunned by its space and performance.
i now have the chance to buy a 2004 with 32400 miles for $4200 from same city, Texas vehicle so body and frame in great shape it is in very good to excellent condition, Tires replaced at 31K,I spoke with Maintenance chief who said it ran great, no problems, but "he wouldn't get caught in one".
Well I would! KBB says $6500 private party,
Any advice good or bad would be appreciated. 2004 Prius odometer 7-2018.JPG 2004 Prius Interior 7-2018.JPG 2004 Prius Body 7-2018.JPG 2004 Prius back seat 7-2018.JPG 2004 Prius trunk 7-2018.JPG

    Hello!

The HV battery is a HUGE worry for me. When the battery is that old and used that little it is not great at all for it.

Also do you know if it was stored outside? The Texas heat can do a number on the battery over time as well.

At that low of a price just be prepared to spend your savings of $2-4k on a new battery and my guess is sooner rather than later.

    32,000 or 324,000 miles?
32,000 would be a good buy, 324,000 not such a good buy.
Obviously, you will be buying a new from Toyota traction battery, 2500$ and then 150,000 miles at or above 50mpg.
How’s the service history and car Fax?
