I have a 2002 PRIUS and am wondering if brake pedal height can cause issues. Most noticeable if I go to a drive through for food. Seems a slight relax of the pedal will show that power is going from battery to wheels. Does that seem normal ?

Exactly. The car was designed to feel more or less like a conventional automatic-transmission car to drive, meaning it should be pushing forward a little already as you lift off the brake. It does cut the power as long as you are holding the pedal down firmly, but when you start to relax the pressure, it sends power again, so it will have that auto transmission feel.

You can watch that display to get familiar with the feeling of how firmly to hold the pedal down so it is not using the needless power.
