I started a “conversation” about this “dilemma” and, now that I figured out how, I thought I’d start a public thread and maybe get some more ideas.

There were several codes that showed after it died but no check engine light until after it died:
    C1259, P0300, 0301, 0302, 0303, 0304, P3190, P0171, P3190, P3000, P3101, B2799, P3009, C1521, C1522, C1571, C1572
This came from my OTC scanner.

After I cleared the codes I initially got:
    P3191, P3000, P3004, P3101, P3140, P3030, C1259, C1521, C1522
    Again with my OTC

Because I was stumped and had the time I swapped HV batteries with another gen1 I have that had no known issues and also finally used my Mini VCI with the Toyota tech stream software and checked with it. I also cleaned the inside the TB and manifold because of the p3191. After the battery swap tech-stream gave me a c1259, p3191 and p3030 and still no-start, hence the p3191.

What ever is causing the no-start is cutting power to the fuel pump (I used a jumper wire to force power to the fuel pump and it pumped fuel when I removed the pressure line with key on on position). With the jumper wire in place it still wouldn’t start so the problem is also cutting power to the coils and/or the injectors.

I swapped the battery back to the original one that was in it when the car died and now it still won’t start but the p3030 is gone anyway. What I have left is p3191 (obviously) and c1259 and I’m out of ideas.

I want to thank Patrick Wong, 3prongpaul and bwilson4web for checking in on the “conversation” I originally started with and their help getting me through some tests to get me to this point. Although I’m still stumped I have learned a lot so far.

Anything anyone could add will be appreciated.

    Thanks for looking in,
    Vaughn
