A couple weeks ago my wife and I bought ourselves a new Prius v in Blue Streak Metallic. We had thought about replacing our other car, and I looked at a used 2010 Prius but just didn't like buying used for nearly the cost of a new one.Thought about a 2012 liftback, but it broke the budget. The I looked into the Prius c, and was impressed! I loved the habanero and decided I needed to have one for my commuter car. Called up my sales rep and he said they had a habanero trim5 and white trim3 coming in soon. The habanero came in and I came out to take a look and test drive. Wow, was it orange. Really orange. So orange I couldn't stand it.Otherwise I liked the car. I dislike the gear shifter on the ground, and I disliked how I needed to get a trim level 3 to have smart key and some of the other features. In the end I stretched our budget a bit and signed up to take the white, actually Moonglow, Prius c.Now I'm just waiting for it to come in, which is exciting! It "shipped" on 3/5, but I don't know where it shipped from. Anybody have a clue how that works? It said something about texas express. I guess I could ask the rep.

One question though, you might have paid MSRP for the Prius C trim 3. Wouldn't you be getting a 2011 leftover Prius HB for equal to or less than that price? Or did you REALLY need the extra fuel efficiency of the C vs HB?

I did consider the 2011 and looked at one in the base trim. What it came down to for me was a bit silly. I really prefer the display audio in 2012. I also prefer driving a smaller car. I received $500 off MSRP on the c, but could have probably got a 2011 lift back for a similar price.

My only complaint is that the c has navigation, and my v does not. I wish I could switch the two.

Welcome to PC, nevon. How do you like the "regular" Prius so far? Keep us updated on your thoughts on the Prius C. :)

WOW, congrats on the fraternal twins! The Texas Express is most likely the name of the cargo ship bringing your C to you.

FYI, you can get voice directions through the BT connection if you have an android smartphone running google navigation. The map would be on the phone of course.
