Took the new car out of town for the first time yesterday and first longer (relative, I know) trip. Rotary club went to tour the new Wind Farm so thought It'd be good chance to test higher speeds/ carrying 4 adults/ hill climbs w/ "payload" and get a good picture of alternative locomotion w/ alternative power! LOL.

Passengers were all highly impressed with the new Prius. Even passed slower cars twice and get up and go was impressive to everybody. In several places the speed limit was 65 and we easily kept up and car had no problems even with 4 adults. The first 9 miles were downhill and my co-rotarian couldn't believe that we got 95.5 mpg on that stretch! Temps were in the 80's and clear skies, not much wind. I used the A/C on about medium most of the way and didn't really try to maximized MPG as I didn't want to annoy any fellow passengers (we had to keep up with the group caravan). Not bad MPG total even considering (see pictures).

Am approaching that first fill-up soon (will probably do at 600 miles on odometer). Gotta say I love this car so far!

That's a lovely image - the Prius at the wind farm. Thanks. Glad you're enjoying the car!
