Noob here. Want to upgrade to 17 inch wheels. If the wheel diameter is roughly the same, will the wheel gap look worse or same? Not considering to install lowering springs. Thanks for any input Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
While it will IMO look better with the 17s, the wheel gap is actually SLIGHTLY smaller with 17s if you get the appropriate sized tires. The OEM 195/65r15 have a 25 inch diameter while the 17's are 215/45r17 have a 24.6 diameter. So, the difference is obviously minimal. The only way to really close the gap is to lower it. You can get the TRD springs which dont lower the car much but does help with the gap.. Especially if you get 17s.
