I just hit the 1600 mile mark and I am averaging 45 mpg. I would estimate that 90% of that is all highway and mountainous terrain. Car says I am averaging 48mpg. I would also add that I cruise at 70 mph when I can. Mountain grades are 6-8%. Nothing is flat here in northern CA.
Is that calculated or indicated mpg? Calculated, that sounds about right at 70 mph with lots of hills thrown in.
That is a great job traveling at 70 mph. Wish I could do that. The few times I have been on interstate driving 70 I barely could keep 41 or 42. With a full tank my average speed is no more tnhan 40 to 45. I also have hills, and small crooked roads most of which has a speed limit of 35 and 45 mph
