12V mod?

    I'm looking to get power out of my 12V outlet with the car off. Does anyone have a write up on how this is done?

    The Prius auxiliary battery has very little reserve. It's probably not a good idea to tap too much out of it without the Prius in Ready mode.

    Easiest way is the fuse box mod. You'll need a mini fuse tap like this

    Plug the fuse tap into a fuse slot with constant power and plug the red wire into the power outlet fuse leg that goes to the cigarette lighter plug. It is totally reversible to OEM.
