Is anyone else having this problem. Seems like it happens when I try to switch audio sources. My Pandora works half the time and when I try to switch to another source, the system reboots. It happens ones or twice in first few weeks, but it's a lot more frequent now.

Did anyone contact and got an answer from Toyota about this issue?

Another person with the same problem solved it by replacing the USB cable he was using to connect to his iPhone. I haven't seen it reported by anyone using Android phones.

I am using an OEM Apple cable, but I'll try to swap it out to see if it makes a difference. Thanks!

I bought a Prime premium on Friday, had no issues for a couple of days, but today while I was punching in a previous address to the GPS
the 11 inch screen rebooted, then rebooted several times during the next few miles, then the screen stopped rebooting and is now acting normal, I don't have any cables going to it. all of my connections are via Bluetooth. Waiting to see if it starts acting up again

You guys need to bring them back to the dealership. I don't think we have solutions here for you guys. Sorry.

I wonder if it's a software issues. The Gen 4s are having the same issues (not sure if they're all the 7" models or whether those with the 6.1" also experience the same issue). Most had nav, so that's the 7". Ours did reboot a few times last spring to summer.

Did Toyota ever fix that software issue on Gen 4?

Have Prime Advanced (11.6" screen) with rebooting issues. Started last week when on FM and I selected HD radio subchannel. The unit rebooted, acquired the radio signal, then reboots. No other FM channels can be selected. The cycle continues until audio is either turned off or another source is selected.

After taking it to the dealership, they said it was a bad display unit. I just had my display unit replaced today. On the drive home, I selected an HD subchannel and the reboots started again.

Definitely not a hardware issue. This appears to be an Entune/firmware glitch. Will be taking back to dealership...

I've noticed once, when I spent the weekend in San Jose. It was close to 80F inside the cabin under direct sunlight. Here in Alameda, we have 67F all the time. Temperature played a role in rebooting.

Wonder if it is an advanced only issue? I have not had any issue with my premium.

Most of us seem to be having the rebooting issue when switching audio sources. I don't think Advanced differs much (if at all) from a Premium in that department. Unless the JBL system is tied to the stereo on a software level somehow.

Had the same reboot issue, however it happened while the screen was showing the energy information graphics.

Suspect it's a software problem; hope they issue an update soon.

(On a a side note, would be great if they also added a true lane keep assist (w/steering) like the previous generation to keep the car centered on the freeway instead of just bumping the car back after you cross the lane...we can wish, right?)

Has anybody heard whether Toyota has a plan for field-correcting these sorts of software instability issues, even if not immediately then at least at some point in the not-too-distant future?

I was a very early adapter....as in the first few days. 3,987 miles now. Advance model. Not one single reboot. Hope I'm not surprised in the summer!

I thought that was happening to me. But I discovered that I was accidentally hitting the "audio" button which if you touch for 3 seconds will reboot the screen.

Same problem here. Just bought the car today 6/22. I've only been playing with it while charging on accessory. I sure hope the while car doesn't reboot while driving!

What exactly do you have connected (USB or BT) to the car?
