Customers car was calling for inverter pump and 3 way switch. I changed both and burped the system now the cars throwing those codes but going limp any ideas other than the thermos sensor or upper head temp sensor Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Oops. Misread things. Your post title says P1118 (which is high voltage for the Coolant Heat Storage tank temperature sensor), but the techstream pic shows a P0118, which is high voltage for the ECT. That makes more sense, a problem with the ECT would put the ECM into a limp mode, while a CHS jut turns on the MIL. So you likely have an open circuit some where for the ECT. Is the sensor connector fully seated? Bent pin on the sensor? Damaged wire? Sensor could be bad but that's very rare for Toyota- you can check resistance vs the specs in the service manual. What does the scan tool show for ECT? If the sensor circuit has a problem, then ignore the P0125 until that's fixed. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Unfortunately this was a repaired erected car with front end damage so the thermos was replaced I'll pull the tire and check the wiring but I've already got another sensor so fingers crossed Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
