Has anyone ever experienced a suicide? Other half went out as normal. Got food. Got back in car. Christmas tree. Car barely moved, refused to regen correctly. I ran the codes and mg1 and mg2 apparently shorted out. The DC /DC inverter had also fried. I had so many death codes, I had never heard or seen this before. Newer 12 volt, good voltage from both batteries. I declared her deceased and raped her for her parts to fix the other two gen2 in the family to sell. Fortunately I was able to get her hv battery into our other Prius to raise the voltage. So our departed 226000 mile was cut up like an organ donor, saving 2 other family members. Off to donate she went. Anyone ever heard of the hybrid taking a dump, but not destroying the hv battery? Catostropic failure? I’m the Prius whisperer and have never experienced this at such low mileage.
