It's an option. I have an XLE with cloth seats. I tried both and found the cloth seats more comfortable. It's just a personal preference.

It's due to the bladder in the tank. The fuel gauge in the Gen II Prius is a "Guess Gauge".
Trunk space is larger with the conventional Camry and the rear seat does fold down, not just a pass thru.

The button under the steering column disables the SKS. It has nothing to do with the alarm.
Possibly something loose inside of the fob, or maybe some dirt. Just swap fobs rather that try to disable an alarm.
