    Oil change timing

    I thought oil change schedule was every 10,000 miles but I am getting notified of an oil change at 5,000 instead. What gives?

    Normal mode. First winter with a Prius. Is there an electric heater if the engine isn't running? I assume ECO mode is different?

    Can anyone explain how the heater works? Getting into colder weather now. Does it work the same as a non-hybrid car when the engine is running?
