    Follow up... After more testing I have to agree with Wayne that lights come on iff door is locked. I've adopted the suggestion of some members...

    Thanks, Bill, and everyone who replied. The cabin lights are set correctly (to "door"). I guess I'll have to contact my dealer... :(
