I did have to cut the piece of the inverter cover that goes over the protruding metal piece. I cut a slit to allow the metal piece to slide...
That piece does not get hot. it is made out of plastic. I actually plasti-dipped that piece a few months back.
i used black plasti-dip. i did not remove the emblems before spraying. I simply peeled away the plasti-dip from the emblems after it dried. :)

LED side mirrors with 3M 1080 wrap
Installed LED side mirrors today (and wrapped them in 3M 1080 CF). With any luck i'll get them wired up tomorrow with the help of Sean D! [ATTACH]
