In your tpms post you showed a working Techstream with a utility button. I have been trying for days to get that working. Would you mind sharing which version of Techstream that is, where it came from, and which J2534 (mini VCI) adapter you are using? Thank you.
My adaptor is simply a Chinese J2534 ... worked great. The version of Techstream I was using was 10-something. Initially I couldn't get it to work because a box would pop up asking for a serial number (I don't have one). I finally got it to work by clicking on "trial version". Then the Utility button showed up and I was able to use the program.
OK. Finally got v16 to work, mostly at least, by cleaning all prior bits of Techstream from the registry and file system before doing the install, and not having the cable connected until the "patched" version was run to attach to the car. Also updated Java. It was supposedly just a security patch, but the older version of Java predated the v16 release (I think).
