I think you can get a new screen from German Audio Tech for $299. Then just replace the whole sunburst screen and be done with it.
. Let me know who you go with on your mdf repair. My 2008 mdf needs repair and has the sunburst effect as well from being in Florida. UPFIX is $450 which is a bit steep for me. looking for a cheaper option.
