There is a Technical Service Bulletin regarding the MSD posted on Jan of 2005! I have an '06 and mine went out in 2010. I argued with my dealer, who expected me to pay full price, and ended up paying $700 for my refurbished one. Three years later, I've noticed it blinking very rarely so I'm concerned it's going bad. Love the car, very disappointed in Toyota, they should have done a recall.
