I was looking at your dash trim and it looks great. They don't make it for my year or I'd get it. I was wondering what seat covers you are using? They look awesome- love the red piping. Thanks!

Question for a fellow Ham...
how is your radio connected in your Prius? I am looking to run off the 12V acessory (done successfully before in a 2000VWbug) with a mag mount antenna. Does the radio interfere with the car any? I am running 2M/440 no more than 25W to the mag mount.

Q: I suspect you did an Amateur Radio install in your Pri. Can you tell me where you put the radio, how you mounted it, how you fed power, how you grounded it, where you ran the antenna coax, and where did you place the antenna. My concern is proper grounding and feed such that any back EMF doesn't screw up the electronics in the vehicle.

Pat- I just caved after looking at several of your posts. I literally went down and bought a type II with some extras - this evening. My main concern was getting a dual-bander in there. I've got a ID-800 and TM-D710 as possibles. Definitely want the APRS in there beaconing. It is the control head mount that is the challenge.
Anyhow, I'll be watching! AB5N Bob
