This refers back to a posting on 02-05-2010, 04:53 PM, “Cvt failureâ€. I’m bumping heads with local dealers who’ve been servicing my 04 Prius and failed to change both the transaxle fluid and inverter/converter coolant. At 90K they confirm that I’ve lost a transaxle bearing. Lest I compromise my argument with the wrong info, will someone please tell me if the failure to change coolant is in any way connected to an increased operating temperature in the transaxle. Thanks.
