Did anyone notice that he was able to enter a destination while moving? Is the Nav Nazi only in US vehicles, or was I seeing things?
Where have you been? There are abundant hacks ... regardless of year, to bypass NAV waypoint or address entries, as well as bluetooth phone inputs. The search tool can be your friend: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...erride-speed-sensor-bypass-20.html#post988648 .
Another thing to tease the yanks with, the rest of the world can enter a destination into the navigation system on the fly. Haha! A pretty balanced review, but is it really 200x better than the old one?
out: Thanks, Pat. It's nice to know our Yank society has become so litigiously irresponsible that a Japanese car company feels we are the only country in the world that needs babysitting. Amazing what a hot cup of coffee from McDonald's can start. I drove a Gen II and my Gen III side-by-side, and don't know if I'd use "200x", but it was significantly enough better for me to shell out an extra $7k over an 08 CPO Touring model. The main points were the handling, seats (esp. heated), and drivetrain improvements. With a 140-mile/day commute, those differences become critical to survival.
