Hi Everyone, does anyone know if it is possible to connect a CD changer to the Gen 3 Prius and continue to have the ability to use the steering wheel mounted controls? Thanks!
In the US there is a base model (II) which I can't find the stereo spec for just now, and then the first upgrade is (III): JBL® AM/FM/MP3 6-disc CD changer with eight speakers, integrated satellite radio capability [3] and hands-free phone capability via bluetooth [5] wireless technology The base model says Aux In whereas the III might not (?). I also seem to recall both the base and the upgrade being JBL* but I could be wrong about the base model manufacturer. GB * Of course all the major brands we've loved in the past are now shadows that are similar in name only. But at least it's not Bose.
Adding the Nav option in the Prius-III cuts the internal CD changer down from 6 positions to 4 positions. Apparently the DVD player takes some room.
