Noticed a little blue, nickle-size paper sticker on the floor beside the driver's seat. Oops! There are two more, one stuck to each pillar of the driver's door opening. Now what does this mean? Did the QC inspector find something wrong that wasn't fixed? Or was he thrilled with everything and blue stickers are a badge of acceptance? Has anyone else found these? Are they always blue (the color of my car) or do they use other colors on other cars by way of concealment? Or, if they're always blue, was it just my luck that they weren't noticed on the blue paint?
None I can find on my 2 week old Tideland, blue or otherwise!? I think they put these only on crash test vehicles
It might be a dummy proof badge for the installer at the factory that that certain color interior will go in the Blue cars? Don't know...that's all I can think of...and the dealer didn't bother taking it off the panels and floor when it was delivered on the truck. Strange indeed....of course, I like the broccoli explanation better
You asked for the upgraded stereo, right? The service manager wrote "install Blaupunkt" and the mechanic took him literally.
The Answer: Called the salesperson at Faulkner Toyota (Trevose, PA). She replied, with a giggle, "... our service department is organized in teams. The blue team serviced your car and will be assigned to it in any future visits." Mystery solved.
