I have a 2006 Prius IV that I have driven > 85K. I have ordered a 2010 Prius V, which should arrive within the next couple of weeks. My problem: I have a two inch hitch receiver that I mounted (no drilling needed) to the frame of my existing Prius. I use this for my bike rack and also for a small hitch hauler (NO TRAILER). I have removed the hitch from my existing vehicle with the intention of installing it on the new vehicle. QUESTION: Will the holes match up on the 2010 or will I need to purchase a new hitch? Thank you.
Based on my limited experience, I do not believe you will be able to transfer a hitch from 2009 to 2010.
I'd love to find out which hitch you need to buy for your 2010. I think it's an ingenious way of keeping people off your bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to those who responded. I picked up my 2010 Prius last Friday and I have ordered a new 2 inch hitch, since the one on my old 2006 Prius does not have matching "no drill" holes. For those interested in getting a 2010 compatible hitch for their bike rack or for a hitch hauler, I found mine at suspensionconnection.com. If anyone is interested in my old hitch, let me know. I purchased it in Feb. 07, from Coastal Electronic Technologies, Inc. Their web site does not list a 2010 version.
