Hi All, I got the Prius 2010 Model II a few days back and i noticed that if i leave headlights on and leave the car, then i dont get a beeping noise to notify me that i left lights on so I wont waste the battery. I read that there is an Auto-off feature for the prius, does that come with Model II and do I need to do anything to enable it? Also, as a new prius driver, is there anything such as dont drive about a certain speed until putting an X number of miles on the car? Or do freeway driving first to break in the car? Anything like this I need to do? Thanks, George
:welcome: I have a Gen II Prius but I will answer as best I can. 30 seconds after you open the driver side door to get out, the headlights turn off. If you prefer, the dealer can set that to a zero second delay. (that is what the Gen II has) On the Gen II, the break in period was 600 miles: no hard acceleration, and vary your speed every so often. If you are new, I recommend John's site. I just got my 2010 Prius III and was wondering about that too. I was spoiled from Honda's warning beeps when I did not shut off the lights. I deliberately left the lights on and went into a grocery store last night. When I got back, the lights were off. Hope this helps.
