drop 200 lb and think of the mpg gain you could see. For each 156 lbs reduced a vehicle will gain 1 mpg.

It could be one heck of a motivational incentive on top of the long term health benefits.

You are using the double jointed feature of the rearview mirror, right?

In my car, I adjust the rearview mirror so it only shows the rear window above the spoiler, which is what I need to see anyway.

I know the regular mirror is less in the way than the 'autodimming' on the IV and V.

The mirror in the II and III adjust up enough to not block any cars or people, for me. But I'm under 6'3" and you're 6'5".

IIRC, the rearview mirror ought to be mounted a little higher up the windshield glass, IMO.

It's true. In fact my 09 autodimming mirror has been flipped since January of this year. It could only turn one way to not damage the wire. Bottom of mirror went up some amount near 1/2" I suppose, and it helped. I don't know if this is doable in the 2010.

btw, I hate a rearview mirror that blocks sight of other cars and pedestrians, makes driving less safe. My 09 mirror is up *just* high enough.

6'5" @ 230 lbs. No mod to seat and am very comfortable in it; however, the driver's door arm rest could be a bit more cushy. I'm asking my wife to make a foam filled pad to place there as it's about to wear a hole in my elbow.

6'5" and 230lbs. is almost exactly the measurements as me.
Unfortunately, I have to wait patiently until around the end of 2009 before I can pull the trigger. I can't wait.

I played with the mirror and improved it a little. The scan gauge mount does limit the vertical movement. While playing with it I noticed why Toyota moved it down on the windshield. The roof line and the small rear window visibility limits your view. If they put it up higher the roof line would block about 1/3 of the rear visibility.

I'm 6' 3" and 280 lbs. I initially went looking for a new Corolla. I drove a Corolla and Prius in that order and was much more impressed with the Prius. The Corolla had virtualy no leg room for me (but I loved the manual trans which is what I was looking for). I had a 1990 Ford Escort GT I drove for 245,000 miles and at some later point in ownership, I remounted the drivers seat about 3 inches rearward. I loved that car even more after that. Now you people have my mouth watering about a real aftermarket seat remount kit. I am going to look into that in the near future. Thanks!

No need for a seat remount in the 2010 Prius, IMO. It is just about as good as a Camry on seat travel.

Perhaps it's more to do with torso/ratio than over all height? At 6"-5", the mirror (in its standard position) works just fine for me, with no blind spot issues. BTW, give me your phone # and next time I'm driving to Montana via the coast, I'll stop by and help you paint that garage interior. Whew!

    :p

You must do some serious gangsta lean in your car to pull that off. :p

I didn't pay much attention to it but I did test drive a Corolla before sitting in a 2010 Prius, and found better leg room in the Prius.

6'4" 225 lbs, and thinking about getting a Gen III Prius.

Thanks for starting this thread--I'm glad I'm not the only big guy that's looking to get or has a Prius.

Only 6'3" 175lbs but I often wear a Resistol straw hat while driving so that puts me around 6'6". Hahaha[IMG]
