Would all the tall/big people chime in and give your height and weight (if you don't mind).
I'd like to get a rough idea of the limits of the room in a Prius.

About 6'3" barefoot, 185 lbs. driving a 2009 with remounted seat. I would have sold it by now if no seat remount worked out.

The 2010 Prius is ace seating for me with one small exception -

the larger auto-dimming mirror hangs a little low for my tastes even when double joints pushed up to max. It would be a tiny bit annoying but that's about it. The regular mirror would be fine.

When I put my 09's seat forward to its original max back position, it just blows me away. I was incredibly naive to buy a car with such limited seat and steering wheel travel / adjustments.

The 2010 is remarkably improved in seat travel, adjustments, and countour, active headrests (I've been dealing with a problem with my 09 headrests), size and shape of seat bottom, and some telescopic steering wheel (2010 could use a little more IMO).

The 2010 front seats derserve to be in a $23k to $33k car unlike, (IMO in NA market) the 04 - 09 which was a $24k to $29.5k car.

In case wondering, you might want to use a new Camry for seat comparison - it seems more generous than a Venza which is top of the line.

BTW, I fit in the back seat fine when the front seat is all the way back, just need to run the head rest up.

This is almost the exact same size as me. It's the standard driver's seat with no modifications, right?

hmmm... 6'-5" (barefoot) and 190 lbs

I fit just fine and agree that the 2010 is a huge improvement over the G2... I rented a 2009 last month on a trip to get an idea of the differences between the two and I came away very pleased that we have a 2010! We drove a G2 last year and I liked it sufficiently to buy one this year but by the time we were ready the 2010 model was available... no regrets!

FYI, Just in case you ever have to ride in the rear seat, one of our friends who often goes with us, and is compelled to ride in the rear, is 6'7" and says the rear seating area is tolerable.

I agree, I can actually sit comfortably in the back of ours with the driver's seat all the way back and have enough room, the contouring of the front seat back allows knee clearance that is unexpected. Now if only the airlines could design adequate seating for long legs!

Yes I have it all the way down and back and it is very comfortable. I will say the rear view mirror is really annoying and creates a large blind spot. I sits right at eye level. The visibility out the front is probably best for those under six foot.

The Prius has more driver leg and head room than my 97 Volvo 960.

I'm 6'4" and 240. My Gen 3 is quite roomy for me. I can even sit in the back seat with the front all the way back and my knees don't touch the seatback. However, I will admit that the slope of the rear does imede on the headroom for someone my height.

Have read in these posts somewhere about rotateing the Rear View Mirror 180 degrees, in other words, rotateing it so the Top of the Mirror is at the Bottom and vice Versa. It was said it raises it Up a little. But that it had to be done carefully, I'm assumeing there is wiring that could be broken/cut/pinched!

6'-5" here too. I've ridden in the Gen III un-modded and it's easier than the Gen II. Our Gen II has the extend my seat mod:

    http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...view-extendmyseat-drivers-seat-extenders.html

My review is at the bottom on the first page ... in pdf but I'm not certain the mounting pattern is the same if you decide you want to go that route on the Gen III. Ask the folks who build it & they can tell you.

    Thanks Hill!
I'm also at 6'5" and I test drove an 08 Prius 2 years ago and it was a painful experience.
I sat in a 2010 Prius and immediately noticed a difference.
Next time that I have a free hour to kill, I'll take one out for a test drive.
