Hi there. I just bought a Prius II and am trying to get the key fob to open all 4 doors when I push the unlock button once. I have another 2010 Prius and it worked just fine, but when I go through the steps in the manual, this one will not change. Has anyone seen this or does anyone know of special steps to take to make this happen? Thanks.
If I recall correctly, on my 2006 Prius the unlock button on the passenger side and on the hatchback would open all the doors. The button on the drivers door would only open that door (you then need to unlock from the inside). I'm not sure you can change that as you can with the 2010. Perhaps someone else has more information.
Thanks. I do have a 2010 prius that I am trying to change. I actually have two. One works fine and the other will not change for some reason. I do not have a button on the hatch or the passenger door since I have a Prius II.
We need a few details: 1) By Prius II do you mean a Gen II, or a #2 package of a Gen III? 2) If it's a Gen II, does it have SKS? If so, I know you can program the doors to all open with the SKS. As for a single fob push, I'm not sure. Two pushes of the fob button will open all doors. If it is an SKS model, why are you messing around with the fob? Tom
Sorry, misunderstood. I have a 2010, III with no sensors on the hatchback or the passenger door. I was able to program it to open all the doors from the drivers side. Guess the II is different.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but to unlock all four doors with the key fob it has to be programed by the dealer. The SKS door handle can be programed to unlock all doors by holding both buttons on the key fob while inside the vehicle for 5 seconds or so.
It is a 2010 Gen III Prius II. We have two of them and one of them changed exactly as it was supposed to, but this second one does not.
