Picked up our new Salsa red last Friday-what a great ride! They also had a gold Highlander hybrid NOT sold! Call Neil at 505-491-3673 if interested.

    Congrats.

It would help if you listed your location.

I live in Ruidoso, NM. Elevation here is 7000 ft, and so far the Prius handles the grades with no problem; just as much pep as my other vehicles. I am somewhat confused about the battery indicator though. What do the different colors mean, and the levels? I think that green means charging, blue is "normal", and red is discharging. When do you become concernedabout any of this?
    Thanks, Tom

What Godiva meant was that it would be nice if you'd put your location under your avatar...but the text is helpful too.

Go to http://john1701a.com and download and read his User Guide. It will answer a lot of your basic questions about the Prius. When the battery shows all green when the State of Charge (how much charge it is holding, aka SOC) is at the top two bars. It will usually be Blue--the SOC with 3-6 bars, and when it is getting a bit lower on SOC it turns Pink--the last 2 bars.
