OK, so I'm WAY late to the party as most of you got your 2010's like forever ago, but I wanted to post anyway because I'm excited. Please indulge me... Today I am officially moving on from my 2001 Gen I to a 2010 Gen III. I shall be sad to see my little green friend go, but hope that it will provide some Prius happiness to someone else after 8 yrs and 8 months of service to me. I hope I'll enjoy my Gen III as much. Or more. I am getting a Prius II in sandy beach metallic. Woot! :cheer2:
Congrats! I'm sure you'll enjoy the G3, just as I am. Those G1 in the US are probably getting scarce...only 60k units were sold total, just 15k in 2001....
Hi Sarahsoo, Yours is a great post. My first Toyota and Hybrid is the GenIII I now own. I purchases it with the intent and hope is would be a long term investment. It is very exciting to see someone like you holding a Prius for almost 9 years and trading for another Prius. Thanks for posting. -- TK
We loved our 2007 Gen I Prius, P1, so much we couldn't let her go. We turned in my husband's clunker and purchased a Gen III, P3. He's driving P1 and I'm driving P3. No complaints about either one. Enjoy your new ride.
Not most of us are in G IIIs, most still have G IIs.. Congrats on the new car, enjoy. Oh, and congrats for being a pioneer in Prius World with the G I.
Congrats Sarahsoo....I had a Gen 1 and now have a Gen III and am loving it. I am sure you will too....Be safe and drive careful in the new baby! Let us know how your liking it....

Thank you all! I am loving the new car! It's familiar and yet better, which is great as it's not a big transition from driving the old one, but it feels really solid and is a great drive. I will have to get pictures at some point - maybe tomorrow.
