Scott Clark claims to have 14 available immediately but it does take a few days for the sold to be pulled. They're also giving a small discount according to their website.
Cars.com is a pretty good source for what's out there... It was quite accurate when I bought my CFC trade... Funny thing - back then there were like 35 cars within 50 miles (So Cal), of which maybe 9 were package II (meaning under $33.4K). Now it shows 112 cars, and *only* two cars under $26K (meaning 2 package IIs ~ $23K). I guess since there's a shortage, that's another way to "increase profits" - just raise prices, and sell more cars with more features ($$$$$). Happy I got in when I did
Wow - looking further, of the 112 cars, 2 are around $23K, 16 are around $26K, and 92 are $29K+. The "port" was probably busy
not all are flush with cars. i have a co-worker who has a #2 stripped down in gray and has been waiting...umm... well, not sure to be honest with ya. probably at least a month. but then again, have not talked to her in a week, she might have already gotten it.
for anyone in Virginia, McGeorge Toyota in Richmond is showing 15 Prius' in stock, every model from II to V.
I'm noticing plenty of Prii but barely any model II's at all in So Cal. I'm wondering if Toyota only builds certain models at a time...could be why there were so few sunroof models a couple months ago.
To be fair to the ad, it specifies that two specific cars are $2K off. To spotlight the dealer, I went to their site and did a new inventory search on the Prius. It returned 25 results, not 90. And I find that a bit questionable.
Great find - thanks for sharing. A IV with Solar/Nav/carpet at $31,030 for 2k off, now that's a good deal! :cheer2:
I drove by my dealer today and I noticed 4 or 5 lined up across the front of the lot, a couple with the solar roof. I have no idea if they were pre-orders or not. I do know that the dealer now has added a Prius block to their newspaper ad to "come on down and test drive" so they must be getting them in on a more regular basis now.
I just went to pick up my prius yesterday. They had a sign that said "28 new prius' in stock". When I asked about it, the dealer clarified that it was 28 they had received but that most were accounted for. They said they had a couple package V's in stock and not claimed. My dealer encouraged me to go to their website to look at their accessories. When I did, I saw that my car was listed as one of the new cars in stock. They clarified that every car that comes to them goes in their system as new and in stock, regardless of whether they are reserved. I also contacted a couple dealers who advertised they have package II's in stock over the last few days when I thought I wasn't getting my car anytime soon...their ads were totally bogus and a way to lure in new customers. The only package II that anyone claimed to be able to get me is the silver color which seems to be "abundant" but that's all relative...2-3 in stock in nor cal, any given time when the dealer did a search of avail package IIs.
