Hello all, Over at Insight Central we're trying to plan a New England hybrid/green vehicles meet up. Here's the thread: the re-awakening of the new england meet - Page 6 - Insight Central: Honda Insight Forum The proposed location is a spot in Danielson, CT some weekend in the near future. Anyone interested? If so, post what weekend days would be best for you!
Thanks for the invite! My schedule is all over the map, so please let us know when you have a date. It would be fun to take a run to CT. I'm off to VT next week.
I'd be interested in attending depending on the weekend. Please post the date/time on here when it is known and I'll do my best to make it!
Have you two gone to the other MA hybrid meets? I see there were a couple in the past years. I'll try posting in the MA subforum and see if we get any other interested people.
I've only owned my Prius since March so no New England meetups for me. Only been to an economy competition with an assortment of vehicles back in August in Fonda, NY. I'm heavily involved with ecomodder.com which also has a grand assortment of vehicles but I'm sure a couple guys from over there would come if the timing is good for them...they would be more interested in economy but I'm sure they hybrid allure would bring a few of them to the meetup to check out the cars. Hobbit is a local MA guy with his Prius so if the timing is right for him he might visit the event as well...I can email him if you have a date, location and time.
It's looking like it will possibly be Saturday, October 24th at the lot across from Zip's Diner in Dayville, CT. I'll post again when I have more details.
OK, here it is: "Oct 24th 2009 Start gathering at 3pm in parking lot across from Zips. Eventually we will move over to Zips itself if you come a little late. You pay for your own meal. Zips Dinner Inc. Routes 101 & 12, Dayville, CT, 06241 860-774-6335"
[copied over from the similar thread in another forum] {Prius, Insight, Civic Hybrid, Fusion Hybrid, Camry Hybrid, Altima Hybrid, Escape Hybrid, ...} >>> Pre-Hybrids. The 'enemy' is not the fellow hybrids out there.
I'd love to participate in "Keeping New England Green". Please include me in your invite. I can be reached at [email protected].
Ooh, that's gonna be veeeeery difficult. But maybe doable, as I'll be quite a bit farther southwest of home earlier that day and might be able to shift some obligations and timing around and at least make an appearance if not a food-stop out of it. . _H*
