New Prius Thought of the Day

I'm retired Navy working at the fuel farm here at NAS Jacksonville, FL. Most of my coworkers are retired military like me. We all have Class A CDL's driving tanker rigs. Personally most drive pickups or SUV's. For the last 10 years I drove to work either a Cummins-powered 1-ton or 3/4 ton, a Corvette, or a Harley. When I bought this Third Gen I thought the guys would give me a load of smack. Surprisingly they are more impressed with the 50 mpg rating and have not made any s/a comments. They know I wont back down!:heh:

 

Confuse them with quotes like:

 

When I brought my daughter back to college for the fall, we were in the parking lot of her apartment, unloading the car, when one of her friends pulled in. Her comment was, "I can't believe you fit all that stuff in that little car!" as she got out of her huge SUV. I just had to laugh. Only negative comment so far.

 

I've had zero negative comments since Aug 1st. and many strangers approach me and ask questions about it. I work at our Data Center location so it's all I.T. people. We have a large open air parking lot. The first day I parked it in the lot, I had people streaming by my desk asking about it for 3 days straight. That's never happened before.

 

Not me! At the first clear sign of attitude I dust 'em. They can never keep up.
