I only participate in the political cartoon thread, since there is no arguing allowed, just posting cartoons. I'm convinced that there is no point in arguing about politics or religion, especially on the 'net. People believe what they want to believe.
I don't participate in that thread because the "Bush Monkey" cartoon I posted was removed... there's a lot of funny stuff in there though...
Was it actually a cartoon or was it a photoshop? Several of DBerman's posts were removed because they weren't cartoons.
It's because poor little anthony got his initiation into the banned bleachers and couldn't handle the heat so he directed his immature little chums over to the site, who are so used to doing what they are told without thinking they couldn't see that it would be as transparent as, say air. I say you need to post 50-100 meaningful posts in other parts of PC before being allowed into FHOPol. That'll keep children out of the adult swim. Yesterday I put 4 on ignore including anthony just because he is such a poor sport. Two more so far today. I do wish there were more thoughtful, reasonable people from the right wing there to make it interesting, but children don't count in my book.
My entry WAS a cartoon caricature of GWB as a monkey walking... published at a rather well known school and carried in the national newspapers inside... I was a bit miffed then, I got over it. Nevertheless, it was last year before the election and has no impact on my willingness to post up stuff I find funny... I just will leave that thread to the Mods to enjoy... and edit... Since then, I have tried to inject some humor with most of my responses, and that many times will include some graphic or image that either supports the premise or indicates what my response is, in a way without so many words... unless I am at my desk (when the govt servers don't allow me)... such as I am at this moment.
I still ask: Why would anyone come to a CAR chat board to ONLY post in the politics forum? I oppose a knowledge test for participation. But some reasonable number of meaningful posts in the car forums would hurt nobody. They might be all newbie type questions. But demonstrate that you have an interest in the car before going off-topic. I am going to start requiring myself to spend more time in the car forums. I'd kind of gotten out of the habit. But those of us with experience can help the newer owners, and that's what Prius Chat is really about.
Guilty as charged. Once I figured out how to install the EV mode button, and shut off the annoying back up alarm I was pretty much done in there.
And that's just it Daniel. Since this forum's been hidden for a year people aren't gonna run across it in a simple google search or something. Any non-Prius person is most likely already a member here that takes on a new persona just to be obnoxious in the political area or was someone here to troll and stir up trouble like the folks that Anthony chose (through their own admission) to "invite".
To be honest, I lurked here for a bit and because of this thread, I thought I would actually make a log in, but once I did, I figured I would just stay away from that section. Keep myself out of trouble. We have enough of those discussions at work, don't need to do it on the Internet. Real easy to be a keyboard Rambo. I thought this section was about pancakes in general, like recipes or something, boy was I wrong.
lol, true, very true. off topic, how do I make a picture for my screen name, no idea how to do that, any help?

You haven't spent enough recent time in FHoPol. Obama is accused of being an Islamo-fascist sleeper agent.
The pancake reference is a take-off on the International House of Pancakes: A place to sit around and shoot the breeze about any subject at all, to keep the off-topic discussions off the car forums. The politics forum was created much later, to get the rancorous political arguments out of the otherwise more friendly "house of pancakes."
I remember a picture of a bunny named Fred with a pancake on its head. It had nothing to do with anything, which I think was kinda the point. An apropos non-sequitur, in other words.
