Congratulations on your new ride. I'll have mine sooooon. I know my VIN but I don't know how to find out when it will arrive in Jacksonville. Do you know how to find out?
Mine, made 7/09, is A5 and 6 ( not 7) digits of serial number, a little over 035000. Ar there 6 or 7 digits for the serial number?
Good info Paradox. Just a word of caution though. Only Toyota follows that format as explained. Other makes are a little different. GM for example uses xx1xx where the "1" is actually the brand within GM instead of whether it is a sedan or coupe. 1 is a Chevy, 2 is Pontiac, 4 is Buick, 6 is Cadillac, 8 is Saturn. All GM cars start with XG#. X= country of origin, G for GM, # for make. The more I look at it, the more GM is different on a lot of the spots... And I thought every company had to use the same format... unless they changed it and I didn't get the memo
A: model year 2010 5: Toyota Autobody Fujimatsu plant ... 0,1: Toyota Tsutsumi plant a little over 035000: serial number Ken@Japan
