My buddy's 2006 Prius needs four new tires. He's on a tight budget and would prefer to spend less than $400. Pep Boys recommended the Cooper CS4 Touring tires (T-rated). They quoted me $350 out-the-door for a set of four. The price is after the 4th tire free rebate and the $50 Cooper rebate. And they also include lifetime balancing and rotation, free flat repair, pro-rated road hazard and free alignment check. I did a search and learned that a few members are using these tires. However, most of the members had just gotten them so they were not able to give a better review. So, I'd appreciate it if those of you who are using the Cooper CS4 tires to chime in and describe your experience with the tires. Thanks!
Just got my new Prius last tuesday, but previously had a a ScionxB with Cooper CS4 tires and they were great. They improved the ride and made the steering feel a little more precise. They had about 10 k on them when I traded the B for the Prius and showed very little wear..When it comes time for new shoes for the Prius I will definitely consdider the Cooper CS4 .
I recently got a set of the Cooper CS4 tires, but it was for my RAV4. I didn't consider them for the Pri, since I was concerned about their rolling resistance. (The Pri got GY Assurance FuelMax tires, on a warranty allowance replacement.) From what I could find out the CS4 tires are rated good, 80K warranty, and are quiet. The price was right for the size I needed, compared to the other brands.
I replace my OEM GoodYears with the Cooper CS4's about a month ago and my mileage really dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How about you and the CS4's you put on your Prius????? Good or bad mileage?????
