I mentioned this in a response to a post on another thread, but I think too many people are paying MSRP on a new Prius that I felt that this deserves its own thread. During my shopping research for a Pkg II, Carmax offered me a straight no-hassle $500 off the MSRP. Unfortunately they didnt have the color I was looking for (I wanted Silver) and couldnt confirm when they could get it for me so I didnt buy the car from them and got another dealer to match the discount and even more (for a total of $625 off MSRP on a Pkg II) I suggest anyone in the market for a new Prius check out the nearest Carmax before agreeing to pay MSRP elsewhere.
You can do a search on the Carmax web site for a specific car but the Prius is only available in WI and MD. That was one of my options but the cars move very, very fast.
