Are prius people cat people or dog people?

I like both and have had both off and on for yrs but right now all i have is Bobby the Bengal cat.

But back in 70s and 80s raised and showed these

 

Octavia....I am with you.....dogs rule!! But....my grandchildren have a new kitty and I have to admit it is cute. But left to my own devices, if my hubby wasn't allergic, there would be a dog here!!!

 

Dog people don't need to make a big noise about owning a dog, no one hates dogs.
Have you noticed not much noise is made about fish ownership either. You ever heard of a person complaining about neighbour's fish at large in the streets creating a nuisance?

I had to find a good home for my girl (dog) for a number of reasons but despite being petless (mammalian) at this point in time, I am still more of a dog person than a cat person. Cats can't protect the goats/sheep and picturing a cat herding sheep is pretty laughable. Since both cats and dogs eat sheep and goats they both get a -1 and dogs still come out on top.

 

I've been a cat person (they tend to adopt me), but I'm a dog person now. Zuli the Red Heeler is still a pup who needs lots of attention and exercise. Some days, I think kids were easier. At the moment she's passed out at my feet after a few hours in the park chasing her ball and a dozen other dogs. I'd better not close my eyes for very long, or I'll be having a nap too.

 

I have NOT set up a hooker fund! Jayman did that. I just said I wanted to be emperor of the world, and I want a girlfriend. Jayman decided I needed to get laid and offered to start a fund (which I have no need of, since I've got plenty of money). But I repeat: I have not set up a hooker fund!

Now, on the poll topic:

I love cats. They're clean and intelligent and independent. That said, I like dogs if they're friendly and don't bark excessively and don't try to lick my face. I visited my cousin a while back, and she has three dogs, and when they all piled on me it was quite nice.

And to repeat: I want a girlfriend, not a hooker.

 

I was going to vote all 3, but you didn't allow multiple votes. We have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 fourteen year old goldfish.


@ Daniel: What about a hooker girlfriend? They need love too. :madgrin:

Since I can't vote for Rats...

 

I absolutely love dogs. I have had three Golden Retrievers thus far. I couldnt imagine my life with them. If I had the money to adopt/rescue several dogs, I would. But I just have my current one, which is just fine.

 

4 dogs, 3 cats, and a goldfish we still consider our own that is now 3 years old and lives in the neighbors small pond (we still visit)!

My DH is a dog person. I'd fall into the I'll take all animals category (dogs, cats, horses, birds) but unfortunately I'm allergic to all of them. We were adopted by a 6wk old kitten that showed up under our shed 3 yrs ago. My doctor isn't thrilled, but my motto is now better living through drugs.
